今回はGTEC for STUDENTS の Basicタイプ（２番目のレベル）のライティングの解答例です。高１レベルの語彙で１５０～２００語で書いてみましょう。解答例には音声をつけてありますので音読練習の参考にして下さい。
問題
GTEC for STUDENTS Writing Basic 練習問題③
【制限時間：20 分】
課題：あなたが今、「やってみたいこと」や「やっておくべきと思うこと」について、自分の考えを書きなさい。
構成(基本の形）
①自分の意見をいう
I think that~.
私は～と考えます。
②２つ（３つ）の理由がある。

このように考えるには３つの理由があります

構成
「今（学生のうちに）やっておくべきこと｣の定番中の定番で書いてみましょうか。
意見：「今やっておくべきと思うことは、一生懸命勉強すること｣
理由
①視野が広がる
沢山のことを学ぶと視野が広がる。視野が広がれば、柔軟に考えることができるようになり、問題に対処する方法も色々と思いつくようになりとても良い。
②仕事につきやすい
就職する時に有利。学歴だけで選ばれるわけではないが、無いよりはあるほうが良いにはちがいない。勉強した事が仕事に役立たないわけがない。
英作文

私は今、何をすべきか？今は、一生懸命勉強すべき。

a broader way of thinking →幅広い考え方
④理由２＋具体例
高い学歴があれば、より良い仕事を得るのに有利だ。
It is advantageous to have an advanced academic background if you want to get a better job.
advantageous →有利な
advanced→高等の
academic→学問の
学歴が全てではないかもしれないが、勉強で得た知識が仕事で役に立たないわけがない。
You might say higher education is not everything, but the knowledge you gained from studying is undoubtedly helpful at work.
gain →手に入れる
undoubtedly →疑問の余地のない
学歴は無いよりは、あるほうがよい。
It is better to be well-educated than poor-educated.
well-educated →教育を受けた⇔ poor-educated
父がいつも、学歴があまり良くないために賃金の良い仕事に就くのにどんなに大変だったか、という話をしている。
My father always tells me how hard it was to have a well-paid job because he does not have a better academic record.
⑤再度意見を言う
このような理由から、今、勉強しておくべきだと思う
