今回はGTEC for STUDENTS の Basicタイプ（２番目のレベル）のライティングの解答例です。中３～高１レベルの語彙で１５０～２００語で書いてみましょう。

課題：あなたが将来、自分の子どもにさせてみたいスポーツは何ですか。理由や具体例を用いて、自分の考えを書きなさい。

構成（中３～高１レベル）
意見は
「子供にはゴルフをさせたい｣で作ってみます。
理由とその具体例を２つ考えます。
①自分もやっているから
具体例）子供がやってくれたら一緒にプレイできる。プレイしながら話す時間もある。子供との時間を沢山確保できる。自分の父もゴルフをしており、時折一緒にコースを回って楽しい時間を過ごしている。
②将来プロへの道がある
具体例）アマチュアどまりのスポーツをしても意味はない。練習して上手くなれば、お金が稼げる。それは素晴らしいことだ。プロになるのは大変だとは思うが、少なくともプロになるために練習することで、目標を達成するのがいかに大変かを学ぶだろう。
英作文（中３～高１レベル）

自分もゴルフをするので、コースを一緒に回れる

コースを回るのに大体３時間以上かかるので、プレイしながら話す時間が沢山ある。
We will have sufficient time to have a long conversation, because it takes about over three hours to finish a courese.

自分の父もゴルフをしており、時折一緒にコースを回って楽しい時間を過ごしている。
My father plays golf too, and we enjoy having a great time together from time to time.
自分の子供とも、こういった素晴らしい時間を一緒に過ごしたい。
I would like to have a wonderful moment like this with my child too.
④理由2＋具体例
プロになれる
There is a way to become a professional athlete.
アマチュアどまりのスポーツをしても意味がないと思う。
I do not think there is a point in playing sport which only has an amateur league.
練習して上手くなれば、大金が稼げる。それは素晴らしいことだ。
If you practice hard and become skillful enough as a professional player, you can make a fortune. That's very encouraging and rewarding.

※rewarding →～する価値のある
プロになることは大変だということは分かっているが、少なくともプロになるために練習することで、目標を達成するのがいかに大変かを学ぶだろう。
I know it is very challenging to become a professional player, but at least children will learn how difficult it is to achilve the goal by practicing golf to be a professional.
⑤再度意見を言う
このような理由から高校生がアルバイトをする事は良い事だと思う

I would like my child to play golf.
I have two reasons for feeling this way.
The first reason is that I play golf, so we can play a round of golf together. We will have sufficient time to have a long conversation, because it takes about over three hours to finish a course. My father plays golf too, and we enjoy having a great time together from time to time. I would like to have a wonderful moment like this with my child too.
The second reason is that there is a way to become a professional athlete. I do not think there is a point in playing sport which only has an amateur league. If you practice hard and become skillful enough as a professional player, you can make a fortune. That's very encouraging and rewarding. I know it is very challenging to become a professional player, but at least children will learn how difficult it is to achilve the goal by practicing golf to be a professional.

してもよし。
今回のお題は「自分がしたいスポーツ｣という英作文でも使えそうですね。その場合との差別化の為に「子供にやらせたい｣の視点として「一緒にやりたい｣と「教育的観点（目標を達成するのがいかに大変かを学べる）｣を入れてみました。
