GO WITH THE FLOW
I know a certain routine is necessary to lead a well-regulated life and achieve definite goals, but what’s more important is how much you can act flexibly without deviating wildly from the original rules. Occasionally, you had better yield to the situation you are in or have to give up fulfilling your aim. Never mind about that. It’s part of life.
Go with the flow, pliantly sticking to the purpose you set.
I am a person of strong likes and dislikes, so my life has been very lopsided. My eyes are often closed to things around me. A narrowed view can be an advantage in brining all your energies on your purpose from time to time, but you cannot deny the fact that a wider field of vision will bring more opportunities to you. Open your mind and embrace everything you’re involved in. Widen your range and absorb whatever you encounter. You can abandon what you took in later if you think you don’t need them. Never be indifferent to anything or you’ll miss out on something precious.
Don’t be afraid, just embrace.
Life is an endless succession of selection. Everyone knows that, but how many people are clearly aware of its importance every time they choose something? When you gain, you lose. When you lose, you gain. You have to think carefully about each alternative before making a choice. As for me, I was thinking I was always good at choosing the right one. Now I am uncertain as to my decision I’ve made. I have no regrets in my life, but there are some cases where I should have chosen what I would do more attentively. It’s OK that you fail or break down after choosing something if you at least make a careful decision. The absolute mess is made when you carelessly decide.
Beware of what you choose.
Releasing what you carry is the key to lead a less stress life. It’s not surprising that relieving nervous tension makes you feel relaxed. I know it’s difficult to handle stress, so I think I want to learn and find ways to manage stress and strain seriously this year. One more thing you mustn’t forget is that getting rid of things you got to obtain also helps you unwind. You get wearied when holding too many things in your arms, even though they all seem to be needful. Is the thing you’re holding tight really a must for you? The idea, you believe, you have to cling to is unessential anymore, isn’t it? Make sure of its importance and have courage to let it go, if it is not indispensable.
Release what you don’t need and what just “seems” essential.
DRAW A BORDERLINE
Drawing a borderline is not an easy task, because you need much energy when you have to say NO. It would get more burdensome to carry out this mission if you want to be looked amiable by people around you all the time. Your reputation as a “good person” may be damaged. I know it’s risky. It may be easier to yield to situations and cope with frustration than losing your popularity. I know all the risk, but I will not hesitate to draw a borderline this year. I strongly believe I won’t lose any friends. Keep faith with your friends, and you will never lose them even when you have no choice than to draw a borderline occasionally.
Draw a borderline with love whey necessary.
